Toddler Sense is a MULTI-AWARD-WINNING programme for busy little ones aged 13 months - 5 years. It is an adventure and activity programme that provides challenging, varied and rich learning opportunities across the prime areas of learning and development. Toddler Sense aims to make learning the adventure of a lifetime and give every child the absolute best start before school.
It is the incredible follow on class to Baby Sensory, which ends at 13 months. Continue your baby’s journey with Toddler Sense and you’re guaranteed to begin another magical chapter.
During a class, you will experience sensory stimulation, action packed activities, imaginative play, upbeat music and unique themes which are overflowing with countless learning and development opportunities!
Quality experiences are guaranteed every week. A different themed adventure awaits each time you visit...one week you may be climbing aboard a rocket and zooming through space, the next sailing the high seas in search of pirate treasure, or perhaps entering a magic garden where wonderful things happen at night...encouraging your child or toddler to keep on discovering and learning!
Sessions are led by a highly trained class leader, alongside Tod -a unique soft toy, who takes the children on a new adventure every week.
Toddler Sense was designed and developed in 2003 by Dr Lin Day, one of the UK's leading parenting experts, so you’re in extremely well educated hands.
Structure - what to expect at a Toddler Sense class
- Each class runs for one hour.
- Classes start with 25 minutes of free play/exploration alongside other children and grown ups in our amazing Adventure Play Area.
- 30 minutes of interactive structured activities alongside other children and grown ups (songs, crafts, physical activity etc) which are led by myself (Rachel) and Tod.
- 5 minutes if there's time of extra free play in either the Adventure Play Area, or in the activity area.
Our fabulous, colourful Adventure Play Area is set up every week for young adventurers to explore and burn off excess energy. Toddlers absolutely love learning on the move and do so while exploring our paddling pools, pop up tents, beach balls, bouncy castles, ball ponds, expanding floor tunnels, balance beams, foam shapes and many other pieces of apparatus and equipment. Rest assured that the area is rigorously cleaned after each session to ensure you are provided with the best play experience.
Our classes aim to build confidence, self esteem and a great sense of well-being. Many of our activities focus on physical activity, encouraging your toddler or child to exercise in a fun, interactive and safe way. This will build muscle strength, endurance, burn excess calories and...WAIT FOR IT...aid a better night's sleep!
As a mother of two, I fully understand the importance of quality time with your children. I am very proud that Toddler Sense classes enable you to have uninterrupted interaction with your child. Our classes are very much an opportunity for you to enrich your child's ability to learn and play.
