Does my child have to be walking?
No, absolutely not! Your toddler doesn’t need to be walking to enjoy Toddler Sense. There’s plenty to explore whether they’re crawling, cruising, taking their first steps or confidently running around!
What if my toddler cries or has a tantrum?
Completely NORMAL! Toddlers have big emotions and we certainly don’t expect perfect behaviour. If they need a cuddle, a break or a moment to calm down, that’s absolutely fine. We’re a toddler class – we get toddlers!
What if my child won’t join in?
Please don’t worry! Some toddlers jump straight in, while others prefer to watch and take everything in first. It can take around 3 weeks for a little one to become familiar with a new environment and routine. There’s never any pressure to join in with every activity – let them go at their own pace.
What happens during a Toddler Sense class?
We start straight away with 25 minutes of free-flow Adventure Play – no sitting in a circle waiting for everyone to arrive! Your toddler can get moving, exploring, climbing and burning off some energy. We then tidy away together before moving on to our themed structured activities, with music, movement, props, sensory experiences and lots of fun!
Can I join halfway through a term?
YES! If we have a space available, you can join us at any point during the term. Every week is a completely different adventure, so you haven’t missed anything and there’s no catching up to do.
My toddler never sits still – will Toddler Sense suit them?
YES! In fact, they sound perfect for us! Toddler Sense is designed specifically for toddlers and we know they need to MOVE. We don’t expect little ones to sit still for an entire class. There are plenty of opportunities to explore, move and burn off that endless toddler energy!
What if my toddler wanders off during the activities?
That’s absolutely fine! They might wander, come back, watch from somewhere else or become interested in something completely different. They’re still taking things in and learning. We encourage participation but never force it.
What age is Toddler Sense for?
Toddler Sense is for little adventurers from 13 months right up to school age.
Can I bring my younger baby too?
Yes! Babies under 13 months can come along FREE when attending with an older sibling who is booked onto the class.
Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes! We offer buy one, get one half price for siblings attending Toddler Sense together.
What should my toddler wear?
Something comfortable that they can move, climb and explore in! We ask toddlers to wear grippy socks for Adventure Play and adults to wear socks too.
Can my toddler have a snack or drink during class?
Absolutely! We know toddlers sometimes need a snack when they need a snack! You’re welcome to take a snack or drink break at any time during the class. We just ask that you use the chairs provided away from the play mats for any food or drink.
What if we’re potty training?
Come along! We’re potty-training friendly. Bring some spare clothes and please don’t worry if there’s an accident – it’s all part of toddler life and learning!
What if my toddler is shy or nervous in new places?
That’s absolutely fine. Give them time to observe and become comfortable with their surroundings. Some children need a few visits before they feel confident enough to fully explore. Follow their lead – there’s no rush and no comparing. Every toddler is different.
What if I can’t make one of my classes?
Don’t worry – we have a couple of options!
You can gift your space to a friend or family member with a toddler so they can enjoy the Toddler Sense fun instead. Or, subject to availability, you can arrange to attend one of our other classes. We run Toddler Sense classes on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, giving you a little more flexibility when life gets busy.
Can I bring someone with me to class?
Yes, absolutely! Partners, grandparents or another special grown-up are very welcome to come along and experience Toddler Sense with you and your little one. We just ask that you let us know beforehand if someone else will be joining you.
Do I have to book a whole term?
We have different booking options depending on availability, including our 3-week trial, which is a great way to give your toddler time to settle in and experience several different adventures before committing to a full term.
What makes Toddler Sense different?
We understand that toddlers need freedom to MOVE! That’s why every class starts with 25 minutes of free-flow Adventure Play, followed by a different themed adventure each week. We combine physical play, music, movement, sensory experiences and structured activities – while still giving toddlers the freedom to be toddlers!

TODDLER SENSE PARTIES
What does a Toddler Sense Party involve?
Toddler Sense Parties are packed with Adventure Play, music, movement and themed fun – creating a magical, action-packed celebration your little one and their friends will love!
The costs for a 1 hour party time - 60 minutes of Adventure Play Area (no adult led activities just the equipment) is £170 - this includes our set up/pack away time.
The costs for a 1 hour party time 30minutes of Adventure Play Area and 30minutes of themed, adult led activities is £250 - this includes our set up/pack away time and 2 people running the party.
The cost for 1 and 1/2 hour party time 45minutes of adventure play and 45minutes of themed activities is £300 - this includes our set up/pack away time and 2 people running the party.
