About the Founder

⭐Founder of Baby Sensory, Toddler Sense, Baby Foundations and Hello Baby, Dr Lin Day (PhD, M.Phil, PGCE, BSc, Dip Ed), is one of the UK’s leading parenting experts and a renowned author within the field of childcare and education.

⭐With over 40 years of practical experience working with parents and children and driven by the passion and commitment to offer the best possible service, Dr Lin Day developed Baby Sensory and Hello Baby to provide the support and knowledge necessary to lead baby learning and development forwards and to provide parents with confidence in caring for their baby in the most important year of life. 

  

⭐Dr Lin Day also founded the multi-award-winning Toddler Sense programme (13 months to 5 years) in 2003 (and ran classes herself for 8 years), and Baby Foundations (information workshops for new and expectant parents) in 2015. In 2017, Lin founded Hello Baby (birth to 3 months), to help parents to communicate more deeply with their babies from birth by recognising their sensitivity cues and abilities. Part of the Hello Baby programme includes baby massage, reflexology, yoga, containment, and sensory integration.

⭐Dr Lin Day has designed and written all course training handbooks, lesson plans, and articles to support Practitioners running Baby Sensory, Toddler Sense, Baby Foundations, and Hello Baby classes and courses. All of Lin’s programmes focus on the senses, play, activities to stimulate learning and development, the importance of movement, and the parent-infant bond. 

Where it all began

⭐Dr Lin Day began her professional career in nursing in 1974. Following the birth of her first child, she trained as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator, and developed the first holiday play scheme for disadvantaged children in Wiltshire. In 1987, as owner and principal of Woodford Nursery School, which received outstanding Ofsted reports throughout its 15-year history, Lin went on to teach and assess childcare and education courses in the post-16 sector, and undertook post-graduate research in biomedical science at the University of Southampton.

⭐Lin is currently a Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine, and she continues to be an active director of the WOW World Group, researcher, designer, and writer for multiple programmes, and trainer for Hello Baby and Baby Foundations.

⭐As part of her continuing professional development, Lin regularly attends the Royal Society of Medicine for seminars and training. Lin continues to gain qualifications in early years education.
