In every class children enjoy our adventure play area with soft play, bouncy castles, tunnels and more before joining our mascot Tod, and Becky on many exciting, different adventures every week. From space adventures, to jungle safaris, Hawaiian beach parties, magic shows, circus, dinosaur digs, wild west, summer salsa and glow party - the possibilities are endless for fun, creativity, imagination and play in our Toddler Sense world!

Class structure, benefits and what to expect

Our award-winning toddler classes provide an inclusive environment which will be enjoyed by all families with toddlers aged 13 months - 5 years.  You will be able to watch and enjoy your toddler develop as they play, grow and learn together through the variety of engaging activities. The adventure play area will encourage your toddler to burn off excess energy, by climbing, bouncing, crawling and balancing, whilst the guided activities will encourage your toddler to listen, play, sing and dance. The toddler sessions will entice your toddler to work together, grow in confidence, and develop their social, physical, emotional, creative and intellectual skills.

Toddler Sense will support your child in being 'school ready'. All the activities have been expertly designed and planned by Dr Lin Day, a leading parenting expert and also the founder of Baby Sensory with over 40 years of experience. Because of this, you will gain a better understanding of how your child learns and how best to support their development.

We start every toddler session with 25 minutes of fun free play which is followed by 35 minutes of adventure time with our mascot, Tod, in our guided activities.

We have over 2 years of different themes and activities. You will never experience the same class.

Recommendation

"We attended a group session with Becky, both my 2yr old and 5month old loved the experience. The equipment setup was fantastic for my feral little boy who thoroughly enjoyed playing in the environment. The circle time was lovely for both my baby and toddler.  Becky was incredibly welcoming, taking the time to talk to everyone during the playtime making it a great experience for myself as well as the boys. Will definitely be returning"

Frequently asked questions?

My child cannot walk yet can they join Toddler Sense?
Yes you can attend Toddler Sense. We have lots of activities which help develop your child's gross motor skills as well as lots of different balancing equipment to help strengthen their balance and coordination.

Can I attend with my older child?
Toddler Sense is suitable for children up to the age of 5 years so you would be able to attend an older aged class or mixed class with both children and I also offer a sibling discount.

I also have a baby can they attend also?

Yes of course, lots of families attend Toddler Sense with their child and a younger baby. To allow flexibility to join in and enjoy the class with your toddler, a baby sling may be helpful depending upon your baby's age but we understand family dynamics and will always do our best to accommodate everyone.

I am returning to work can grandparents bring them to class?
Of course, everyone is welcome. We have lots of grandparents, nanny and childminders who bring the children to class as parents have returned to work.

Missed classes?

There may be an opportunity subject to availability to change venues and class time or why not invite a friend to take your place should you know you will miss a class. Please speak to your class practitioner to arrange this.

What if I can't commit to a full term? Our terms are usually about 6 weeks long and this does provide the best opportunity for children to learn the routine and settle into and enjoy the great benefit of classes. However whether due to shifts, or other commitments we know this can sometimes be difficult but we don't want you to miss out.  Please contact your class leader. Sometimes and subject to availability we may be able to offer PAYG places. Contact details are on the home page or use social media to find out if a space is available to come along and join in.

We also offer special events and classes open to everyone whether you regularly attend or not.

Parking .Wonderland has a free car park. Please drive up close to the barrier and it will automatically rise to let you in to park.
