Who can attend?
Our programme is designed for toddlers and pre-schoolers from 13 months to 5 years.
Little ones need to be 13 months on or before the day of their first session to attend. Bookings via the website can only be made once little ones have turned 13 months, however if they’re not quite there yet, drop me a message to secure your space ready for when that big day arrives.
Our sessions are suitable for anyone up to the age of 5. Pre-schoolers need to be no older than 4 years, 11 months and 29 days when bookings are made in order to attend.
We have different classes available for different ages to ensure your little one is able to attend a class that is suited to their stage of development. Our different classes are:
New Explorers - 13 months - 20 months
Adventurers - 20 months - 3 years
Rangers - 3 years - 5 years
All Ages - 13 months - 5 years
These age ranges are advisory only and if you feel your little one would benefit from attending a different session, please drop me a message.
You are more than welcome to bring your babies along to your session with you. They can come in slings or carriers, or during our Adventure Play session I’d be delighted to give babies a cuddle for you! As this is a highly interactive class it’s best that you have your hands free to assist your toddler and get the most from your session together. Unfortunately due to the size of the venue we cannot accommodate car seats or pushchairs. There is no charge for babies under the age of 13 months.
Unfortunately older siblings are not permitted to attend the class due to insurance purposes.
Class bookings are for one adult and one child. If you wish to bring a visitor to class please contact me in advance. Visitors may only be able to attend if space permits within the venue and / or class.
The Venue
All of our sessions take place at our beautiful venue: The Family Hub, Ashwell Business Park, Ilminster, TA19 9DX.
We have plenty of free parking available on site with lots of space to get little ones in and out of cars.
We have wonderful toilet facilities which include a changing area and spacious toilets big enough to fit parents and toddlers in together. We also have toilet seats and potties available.
When you arrive at Toddler Sense we ask that you and your child remove your shoes and coats before entering the play area. Please note that socks must be worn by everyone in attendance. We do have air conditioning / heating to help keep you as comfortable as possible. As this is an active class we suggest that you and your little one wear comfortable loose clothing that does not restrict your movement.
You are more than welcome to meet your little one’s needs at any point throughout the session, whether that be breastfeeding, or giving snacks and drinks. We politely ask that you don’t bring drinks and snacks into the play area, but have these off of the mats and wash or sanitise your hands after. This is incredibly important to ensure we keep the equipment as clean and safe as possible. Hot drinks are not permitted in the Toddler Sense room.
Prices
Toddler Sense classes run in terms and these vary in length in line with school terms. Term lengths will always be stated at time of booking.
When booking a term, the cost is £9 per session.
From time to time Pay As You Go spaces may be available, these are available at £10. If we have PAYG spaces available this will be communicated via our social media channels.
We also offer 3 week trials for new customers. These are available for just £20. The 3 weeks need to be taken consecutively and cannot span terms. If you enjoy your sessions your booking can be extended for the remainder of the term and you will only be charged for the remaining weeks.
If you are attending Toddler Sense on a Gifted Space there is no charge.
You can book onto our term at any time, so even if the term has started it’s not too late to come and join us. You will only be charged for the remaining weeks of the term.
Seasonal specials and events are priced individually, and you do not need to be a regular Toddler Sense customer to attend.
Each child is required to have their own space and therefore multiple bookings will need to be made for siblings. However, we offer sibling discount for our regular term time classes which reduces your session fee to just £6 per child. This can be used across both Toddler Sense and Baby Sensory South Somerset, so if you have multiple little ones attending Toddler Sense, or one at each of our programmes, please let us know in advance of making your booking so that this can be applied. Please note that sibling discount is not available on our specials or Pay As You Go sessions.
Payment will be taken at time of booking in order to secure your space, you will then receive a confirmation email. Bookings are made on a first come, first served basis on opening day. If your preferred class is fully booked please add yourself to the class waitlist, you will then be notified if a space becomes available.
Bookings and Renewals
By booking onto a class or special event you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.
Bookings are non-transferable, unless arranged in advance with the class leader. However, this is at the class leaders discretion and is not guaranteed.
Where space permits it may be possible to transfer your booking to another day during the same week. Regretfully we are unable to carry missed sessions over to the next week of term. We are unable to offer concessions for missed sessions or holidays.
If you are unable to attend your class, and have arranged to do so in advance with your class leader, you are welcome to “gift” your space to a friend or relative. Please note that the new child must be of an appropriate age for the class. You will be required to provide the name of the parent and child, the child’s date of birth, a contact number and email address for the parent, plus any necessary medical information, such as allergies. If you do not have a friend or relative you would like to pass your space to, you are welcome to gift your space back to the class leader who can advertise this on social media.
Current customers will have the opportunity for priority booking onto the next term, prior to the release of availability online. Please be prompt with re-booking upon receiving your re-enrolment email. Please note that as we offer different aged sessions, customers are able to transition from one class to another, so whilst you will have priority over those not currently attending a class, customers are able to book spaces on any available classes. We therefore cannot guarantee your space on your current class as bookings are on a first come, first served basis so please rebook your place in good time to avoid disappointment.
Refunds and Cancellations
Please be aware once you have booked your classes your class leader is under no obligation to provide a refund. You are booking a “space” within a limited class and without sufficient prior notice your class leader will be unable to re-sell that space. You are welcome to “gift” your space to a friend or family member provided their child is an appropriate age for the class. Where a refund can be given, cancellations will incur a £9 (1 class) administration fee.
We are unable to refund monies for missed classes or add missed classes onto the end of your booking, however it may be possible to transfer your booking to another session that week if pre-arranged with the class leader.
Every effort will be made to ensure classes run as planned, however there may be unforeseen circumstances that prevent classes running. In the event of your class leader having to cancel a class they will make every effort to inform you in good time either via telephone, text, email or via social media. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure your contact information is up to date.
If the class leader cancels your session an alternative session may be offered, or they will provide you with a refund for the missed session.
